Gretė Maziliauskaitė is a first course Journalism student at Vilnius University.
She started high school in 2013 and graduated in 2017. Her constant dream was to become a doctor or somebody who can help to save the world or make it a better place to live. Eventually, she decided to become an animal doctor and make the world a better place for them. On the 4th of September in 2017 Gretė started studying at Lithuanian Health Sciences University in Kaunas. She had to move from Vilnius to Kaunas, and it was a hard step in her life as she had quite a strong bond between her, her family and her city. When Gretė finally started her studies, she realised that financial stability or a good work place isn‘t what she actually desires. With her parents support, she dropped veterinary medicine studies and came back to Vilnius. That was the moment that she decided to take a gap year, work and travel.
During her free year, Gretė had so many thoughts about her future studies, but nothing was more interesting or more important to her than becoming that ‘‘somebody“ who can make the world a better place to live for everyone here. She always wanted to travel the world and not to sit in a one place, so Gretė realised that journalism might be the best option.
Gretė Maziliauskaitė is a trustworthy journalist because of her modesty and humanity. People usually feel comfortable around her because she does not bother and knows what to say or what not to say when it‘s time.
